So let me talk about the increasing trend of street food places in Ahmedabad these days.Well back in the early 2000’s street for people in Ahmedabad was always eating roadside Chana Chor, Panipuri, and Sevpuri. The trend began from there to a vast range of street food options in Ahmedabad now. Back then street food meant eating a Frankie at H.L. and enjoying delicious cold coco with it. Municipal Market was the baap of all the places if you were looking for good options to eat in Street Food.Later on, Law Garden Khau Galli became one of the most hyped places in Ahmedabad. It had a lot of zeal and various options to explore. Chinese, Mexican, Sandwiches, Pizza, Dosa and what not!

Street food in Ahmedabad is an evolution.
From small lari to food trucks. Food trucks are currently in “trend” to explore different options for street food. I remember when the first food trucks at Karnavati opened. It was a big thing to go and eat there. Like I said, it became one of the hyped places of Ahmedabad. This trend of increasing food trucks and love for street food has expanded a lot in a past few months. Let me tell you about the various food trucks in Ahmedabad and also one of the most innovative dishes available there.
1. Food Truck Park, Shalby Hospital
This is probably the first food truck park in Ahmedabad apart from all the trucks which you find on the roadside. My favorite truck over here is the 9834: The Fruit Truck and Grill’d and more. The fruit truck serves the best Jamun shots in town. For all the meat lovers out here, do not forget to try the Red Dragon burger at Grill’d and more. It is the spiciest burger in Ahmedabad.
2. Food Junction, Rajpath Club
This newly opened food truck park in Ahmedabad also has a lot of options. My favorite truck over here is the Stick with it. They serve delicious Potato Twisters and Stick Waffles. Have you tried it yet? If not, don’t miss out these.
3. Urban Chowk, Thaltej
This is the posh food truck place from what I have heard. Good crowd, good hygiene, good lights, and music. Also various options for food. The famous trucks of Street Zaika and 9834 are also here. My favourite here is The Chocolate Story which serves amazing thick shakes.
4. Taste of Amdavadi, Bopal
Bopal is also extending its food options these days. This food truck park has Churronation Well, churros are basically a Spanish dessert which is often served with a chocolate dip. If you are bored with waffles, try churros!
5. Ahmedabad Streat Food Truck, Sarkhej
Well, I have heard a lot about the Hanging pops at the truck: Street Gourmet Ahmedabad. This is the only dish I have tried. Uniquely presented and amazing in taste.
6. Mini Manekchowk, Gota
Don’t call yourself an Amdavadi if you haven’t been to Manekchowk. Who doesn’t love Manekchowk? Well if you find it far away from the city, there’s this option called Mini Manekchowk with the signature dishes of Manekchowk. Not exactly authentic like the original one but pretty close. Do try the Ghooghra Sandwich and Gwalior Dosa over here.
